6:00-6:30 pm ~ in the Sanctuary
Interested in exploring meditation within a Christian context? Centering Prayer is the practice of yielding to the embrac e of the mystery we call God. We try to adopt an attitude of surrender, cultivating a connection between heart and spirit.
We begin with 10 minutes of quiet music in the beautiful sanctuary, and then sit for 20 minutes in silence together. We transition from silence with a line or two from scripture or the Desert Mothers and Fathers, to promote a deeper understanding of what this form of worship means to us.
A light meal is shared afterwards. (There is no cost of the meal, but donations are gratefully appreciated.)
Come for whatever segment of the time works for you.
