Graduation + Music Sunday!

As we come to the end of the school year and are led into our summer schedule, we have great opportunities to celebrate the people of this community, especially those who have completed academic journeys and achieved the goals of their education! Those who are graduating from high school or college are being sent on new paths to achieve greater goals for themselves and our community at home and abroad. As we embrace the new beginnings of the church at Pentecost, we also celebrate the new beginnings and milestones of students. On June 14, we will gather, celebrate, and bless graduates, especially high school grads at our first single service of the summer, followed by some treats. This will also be our Music Sunday–a special service when–you guessed it–we emphasize the church’s love of music, joy in singing, and express praise and gratitude as one community.

If someone in your family is being promoted to a new school, your teen is graduating from high school, or a young adult in your family is graduating or receiving an academic degree, please contact Pastor Thomas or the Office as soon as possible. Please include name, school(s), and, if graduating, next steps/plans, etc. We will list this information in the worship bulletin.

If celebrating one of our high school graduates, please let us know ASAP to arrange selection of a quilt! High school grads who could not join us for Grad Sunday in 2025 are welcome to receive the blessing and quilt this year.

Come celebrate the work and accomplishments of our students, and praise the Source of faith and learning!
