Dear Our Redeemer’s Community,
Among a rise in other airborne illnesses affecting Seattle, an uptick in recent COVID-19 cases has impacted our community, and with several members and staff experiencing known exposures and confirmed illness within the past few weeks, keeping ourselves, loved ones, and our community as safe as possible is a high priority.
I am grateful for those who are checking in and reducing the spread, and I pray you will be well and feel better, soon!
Tuesday morning, I tested positive for COVID. Understanding, I was recently exposed, I’ve regularly tested and was negative on Sunday. I want to assure you that access to the means of grace, safely provided is a priority, as is the wellness of our congregation. There are contingency plans in case I continue to test positive or remain symptomatic this coming Sunday.
We count on everyone to do their part to maintain our sense of care and safety.
- We strongly recommend masking and taking precautions that help maintain your wellness and the wellness of others in our community.
- If you are sick, please take the time to rest and heal. If you test positive for Covid-19 or experience any respiratory illness with a fever, please stay home until you are fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication.
- If you have interacted with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 within 5-10 days of a gathering or Sunday services, be aware of your exposure, status, and symptoms. Testing is strongly encouraged.
To protect you and our staff from continued exposure, for this week we request, if possible, that weekday visits to the church building be limited to urgent matters that cannot be addressed by phone.
If you must be on campus this work week, please mask inside the building when around others. We are grateful for your help to keep our staff well.
We pray for everyone’s health, confidence, and wellness as we continue to meet together to praise God with joy.
If you could use prayer or reassurance and assistance, please contact Pastor Thomas (pastorthomas@ourredeemers.net) or Council President, Stephanie Fowler (253.226.3875 or stephanief@outlook.com).
Thank you,
-Pastor Thomas, and Our Redeemer’s Executive Committee
