Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I am writing to let you know that I will be embarking on a two-week Nebraska Synod Vision Trip to Tanzania from January 21 to February 6, 2024. I will be taking the trip with my sister, who is a Lutheran pastor in Dakota City, NE.

There are two major components to this trip. The first is to learn about the culture of Tanzania and the ministry of the Northern Diocese of the ELC in Tanzania. The second is to visit the famous natural areas of Northern Tanzania and view the beautiful scenery and wildlife.

This two-week adventure provides us a with a wonderful introduction to life in a developing country through visits to churches, schools, health centers, ministry sites, and local villages. Our safari will be to Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti region.
