Our Redeemer's Blog

A Couple Notes of Gratitude

“Hi,
Thank you so much for the opportunity to give back to the community. I can’t wait to cook and co-host in future years, you can count on my contribution as long as I live in Seattle. I had so much fun, I can’t think of a better way to spend my holiday. I’m an atheist but I had such a wonderful time last year, I’m devoted to altruism and caring for the most vulnerable members of our society, its what I do as a career (I help seniors and people with disabilities in their homes) Our Redeemers is a fabulous place and I’m proud to have been part of this years celebration, I met so many welcoming people in the process including Pastors Gretchen and Kathy and Jerri who was a an amazing kitchen leader. Considering our recent political upheaval I’ve been really depressed about the state of our nation. I feel very strongly that our only recourse is to reach out and and do anything in our power to help others, thank you for giving me the opportunity to do that. Can’t wait to participate next year, you folks are the best!”

“Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Living out of a vehicle in a parking lot can be quite depressing, however, every small act of kindness is a ray of hope that things will get better.  Thanks again.”
