Immigration Month: Living Undocumented

February 16, 2020 @ 10:10 am - 11:00 am

This series is for all who want to know more about how immigration works in the U.S. and it’s implications with families. We will spend four Sundays listening to true stories, learning from local advocates, and considering what our call is in this important season in the life our communities and world. Classes will begin promptly at 10:10am in the library.

February 2nd
“Immigration? What is Seattle facing?”

Michael Ramos, the Executive Director of the Church Council of
Greater Seattle, will be joining Our Redeemer’s to discuss immigration in the Seattle context. He will also
join us for a potluck lunch and conversation at noon after the 11am service.

Michael has been deeply involved with this work for decades and will share with us what local congregations are doing. These will be an enlightening, practical conversations as we think together about
what it means to be a safe place for all people, especially those who are at risk or incarcerated.

February 9th

“What Then Shall We Do?”

In a bold move, the ELCA declared itself a “sanctuary church” at the last national assembly. What does this mean for Our Redeemers? What is God calling us to in this particular season? Come for good conversation and some time listening for what God might be calling us to.
