Mike Hlastala and other members of our VAB Team will be on hand to further discuss the concept designs presented at the May 15th meeting (and currently on display in the church narthex), and talk more about how they reflect our strategic objectives. Theology on Tap

Next Meeting: May 24th at 7:00pm Come talk about theology while drinking beer (no kidding!) in an open, informal setting. Everyone over 18 is invited to join in as we chat about group-generational topics ranging from “does hell exist?” to “how do you hear God?”. Make a Clean Sweep! April 30 Recycling Event

Recycle your used electronics, metals, & styrofoam, and donate clothing to the Bridge Care Center. Saturday, April 30, 9am to 3pm, Our Redeemer’s Parking Lot. Our Redeemer’s is partnering with SBK Green Century Electronic Recycle for an E-recycling event. The EarthCare Team will also be collecting clean, dry styrofoam (please remove all tape and labels), and gently-used clothing will be collected for the Bridge Care Center. Palm/Passion Sunday (MAR 20). Services at 9am & 11am in the Sanctuary. Procession of the Psalms. Maundy Thursday (MAR 24). 6pm, simple soup supper, Holy Communion, and washing of feet. After VAB information meetings on January 17 and 24, the congregation overwhelmingly voted to approve spending on architecture and design fees with Susan Jones of atelierjones llc (Seattle) at the Congregational Meeting on January 31. As was mentioned at those meetings, additional opportunities for your input into future renovation plans will be made available. Ash Wednesday: the Meaning Behind the Dust

Ash Wednesday Service: February 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. And then there are the ashes. Our Christian face paint. Outrageous, when you think about it. Ash equals garbage, what’s left when something is all burned up, its useful life is over–or just destroyed.
